Last year I came across lots of different Halloween pumpkin art and thought some of them were too good not to share. All the artists kindly gave permission for them to be featured. From sketches to street art, hand made crafts and music inspired pumpkin carvings to huge pumpkin collages.

It’s World Menopause Day today so I thought I’d share this post again to show you that although our menopause symptoms can affect us dramatically, we don’t have to give into it and stop living. I’ve written before about some of the negative effects that the menopause can have on women. Today, I want to celebrate the good parts of midlife and show that women can still have a unique, alternative style and confidence as they get older. We can still be fab at 50!
Menopause is being talked about in the media quite regularly at the moment which is great, but the image portrayed is not quite so flattering. After seeing “midlife” being illustrated by a lady with a fan, Twitter account Behind the Woman started a campaign to “Change the Face of Menopause”.
Middle aged and menopausal women were encouraged to send in their own photos, and what happened next was wonderful. A selection of women, many of whom are struggling with menopausal symptoms, sent in their pics showing their vibrancy and lust for life.
