We Will Remember Them – Remembrance Day – Mt Soledad National Veterans Memorial

Following on from last week’s photos of Fort Rosecrans Cemetery, I’d like to share some photos of Mt Soledad National Veterans Memorial with you. Again no words can express the humbling experience that visiting these memorials gives you.

Mt Soledad National Veterans Memorial can be found at the top of the mount in La Jolla, with 360 degree views over San Diego, Mexico and beyond. The beautiful, peaceful location makes for a moving experience as you pay tribute to the thousands of service men and women who are on active duty, and those who are sadly no longer with us. They are remembered on the walls of plaques that surround the high cross. Even though the cross has caused much controversy over the years, all faiths are honoured.
